Community Outreach
Oversee plans of Community Service Projects for Ambrose Community. Oversee communication with Special Needs liaison to Ambrose Community. Oversee the liaison between Parent to Parent and the Ambrose Community. Food Drive. Enka Pantry, etc.

Enrichment Committee
Work with the Ambrose School Principal and/or teachers to promote and coordinate enrichment programs for Ambrose students. Provide Enrichment schedule to PTO Co-Presidents so they may coordinate with Publicity, Fundraising, etc. This committee works through grade level representatives with faculty to organize enrichment programs for students.

Field Day
Assist PE Department to organize Field Day. Its success depends on parent volunteers.

Fifth Grade Committee
This committee organizes all of the 5th grade activities, including the fall fundraiser, Halloween/Fall Pie sales, Cradles to Crayons community service project, the yearbook, end-of-year BBQ and Moving On Ceremony.

Fundraising/Direct Appeal
Submit to the Executive Board suggestions, plans, and anticipated expenses for any fundraising projects. Be responsible for the preparation and execution of any fundraising projects voted by the Executive Board. Send out Direct Appeal letters before the start of the school year to current Ambrose families.

Health and Safety
Work closely with Principal on traffic safety & parking issues. Works closely with nurse regarding allergies. Help execute the health fair with school nurse and PE teacher.

Teacher Appreciation/Hospitality
Help show Ambrose teachers and staff how much we appreciate everything they do for our students! This committee coordinates 4 luncheons over the school year and Teacher Appreciation Week activities.

International Night
A celebration of cultures around the world, with foo, music, and global education.

Room Parents
Act as liaison between the Executive Board and room parents. Two-three parents per classroom assist teachers with various projects and recruit volunteers as needed.

Plan and implement all social activities for Organization members and their families, including events such as family picnics, parent social, etc.

Work closely with the School Principal to organize and maintain the Ambrose school website and coordinate weekly electronic communications.

Veterans' Day Parade
Coordinate Ambrose families to represent Ambrose in honoring our veterans and marching in the town parade.

Book Fair
The Book Fair is the sole fundraiser for the Ambrose library. Help Ms. Bernardi prepare for and run the Book Fair.

Ambrose Children's Theater
The Children’s Theater puts on a production starring Ambrose’s budding actresses and actors each year. The play is run by an outside director but needs parent volunteers.

Talent Show
Ambrose has lots of talent! This committee promotes, organizes and produces the annual talent show.

Memorial Day Parade
March in the town Memorial Day Parade representing Ambrose to honor and remember those who died while serving in the armed forces.

Global Education
This committee is dedicated to (1) broadening students’ awareness of how children live and learn in other parts of the world and (2) ensuring the financial support of our sister school in India. This committee organizes the annual Sister School Celebration Week and Staff Appreciation Flower Sale in May.

Walk to School
This committee promotes walking to school on Fridays during the fall ad spring months and tallies numbers for the Golden Sneaker Award.

SchoolKidz
Work with teachers and our Schoolkidz representative to finalize the school supply lists for the next year.

Seed-To-Plate
Work with 4th grade students to plant a garden in the spring and to harvest salad greens in the fall as 5th graders. Salads are served in local restaurants as a 5th grade fundraiser.

Capital Improvements
Help keep Ambrose looking great! This committee works to improve the school grounds, including the Butterfly Garden and playground.

Buddy Committee
Help welcome new to Ambrose families grades 1-5! Designed to ease the transition of moving to a new school, this committee matches incoming families with Ambrose families with students in the same grade.

Green Team
The Green Team works in concert with other Winchester schools to implement different “green” initiatives designed to reduce-reuse-recycle.

After-School Programming
After-school programs for Ambrose students are designed to help them explore a variety of interests with the Ambrose Staff.

Husky Swag
This committee organizes the sale of Husky Swag and distributes orders. In addition, committee members assist in the sourcing of materials and setting up pop up shops at community events.
