Community Impact Mission
This year our 5th graders will participate in multiple community service projects throughout the year. Our goal is to help our children understand that even a small act of kindness within their community can make a big impact.
EnKa Thanksgiving Pie Drive
In previous years, we’ve teamed up with the EnKa Pantry to bring pies to Winchester families in need over the holiday season. This is a great way to give back to our community and make the holiday a little bit sweeter for those who may be going through a difficult time. Information on how you can make a difference will be emailed out in November.
Dear Parents of the Class of 2025,
Fifth Grade Parents,
It’s time to start dusting off the sweet memories of the early years at Ambrose to fill our yearbook and we need your photos! We are starting the photo-collection process early this year to give us all extra time. We’re looking for photos of things like - the first days of school, the Halloween parties, assemblies, zoom struggles, pumpkin carving, sledding, concerts, etc.
Here’s how to do it:
Find photos of your child enjoying school-related activities or on school grounds. Look for the highest-resolution copies if you can.
Upload photos to Shutterfly (the more you break up the photos the better! (i.e. K & 1st Grade at home learning, 2nd Grade Zoo Field Trip, 3rd Grade Pumpkin Carving, 4th Grade Lowell Mills Field Trip, Kindergarten First Day of School, etc)
Share your folder with ambroseyrbk@gmail.com
***ALL PHOTO SUBMISSIONS FOR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 4TH GRADE ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 30th.
***ALL FIFTH GRADE PHOTO SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE BY FEBRUARY 28TH.
Yearbook Committee
The yearbook committee helps with certain parts of the book. We will hold meetings after school until 3:15 and all are welcome (students do not need to attend every meeting to be on the committee). The meetings are at school in the library and will be 10/10, 10/25, 11/7, 11/22, and 12/5.
PERSONAL PAGE - DUE FEBRUARY 7, 2025
We will send out more information about this in December, but each student will have a personal page in the book that they can create to share their best moments and memories. It’s a great way to showcase hobbies, family, sports, pets. Perhaps they want to list their teachers, or share their favorites (songs, food, book etc.). The library has copies of yearbooks from previous years which will be a great source of inspiration.
